Experience the extraordinary, unique and glistening Ice Hotel at Jukkasjarvi deep in the heart of Swedish Lapland. Enjoy traditional Sami cuisine; the Absolut Ice Bar; and snowmobile, reindeer and husky safaris for a thrilling holiday with a difference.

Our Classic Ice Break is perhaps the ideal way to enjoy the Ice Hotel with a night in Stockholm beforehand to help you unwind from ‘the world being too much with you’ and a short flight up to Kiruna the next day in time for a light lunch.

In Sweden’s capital you stay at the family owned Esplanade hotel overlooking the harbour and at the Icehotel a full programme of excursions and activities is included with an overnight in a Snow room and another in ‘warm accommodation’.

At the Ice Hotel you stay in a snow room formed in the shape of an igloo with a double bed, a large block of ice illuminated from below and topped with a thermal mattress covered with reindeer skins.

Returning to the real world you’ll find your vocabulary stretched to find superlatives to describe the modernistic ediface that is today’s Ice Hotel (a far cry from the rudimentary igloo first built in ’89) with its snow rooms, ice rooms and art suites hand crafted by international designers.
