The Music
Visiting some of Norway’s most beautiful
fjords, the programmes will be introduced by Susan Sharpe of BBC
Radio 3. Music will include major chamber music works by Haydn,
Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak and Brahms together with music
by Norway’s
favourite composer, Grieg. Dame Josephine will star in a dramatic
musical adaptation of a radio play by the English poet, Stevie
Smith and will also talk about some of her most renowned operatic
roles, illustrated by DVDs of her performances.
