Spend a long weekend in North Africa; sightseeing in Marrakech and a day walking the Ouirgane Valley in the Atlas Mountains

So close to Europe, perfect for a short break, this trip provides a great taste of North Africa, exploring the rich history and culture of Morocco, as well as its stunning and varied landscapes. There is time to explore the Imperial City of Marrakech with its historic mosques and palaces, maze-like souks, tranquil gardens and the Djemaa el Fna square. A stunningly scenic drive takes us to the village of Ouirgane in a picturesque valley in the High Atlas, where we walk through local villages. The Berber inhabitants are colourful and friendly, living according to the seasons and age-old customs.
