Active Pyrenees Family Holiday - Andorra

Factfile

Climate: Andorra's climate is temperate with a warm summer and a cold winter often with considerable snowfall. Temperatures vary noticeably between lower and higher zones with differences of 4 or 5ºC because of differing altitude. In the summer the average maximum temperature is about 24ºC cooling off to about 10ºC in the evenings. As with all mountain regions the weather can change quickly and you should be prepared for this. Being at 2135m, Soldeu’s weather can be quite extreme; when it is sunny temperatures go up into the 30sºC but there are often afternoon thunderstorms with hail or heavy rain bringing temperatures down to 10ºC and below. However it generally has a Mediterranean climate through the summer months with plenty of sun, but be aware of sudden thunder storms.
