Activities

 

Golf:

 

Four Seasons Resort Provence at Terre Blanche offers two courses, both providing golfers with fabulous panoramas of the Southern Alps and neighbouring villages as they wind through hills and valleys of oak and pine. “Le Château” golf course offers several water features to test the ability of the more advanced golfer. Construction and irrigation techniques maintain the perennial quality of the playing surface. An on-site David Leadbetter golf academy provides instruction and private lessons, whilst a covered driving range and the luxurious Golf Clubhouse round out the Four Seasons golf experience.

 

The Pro Shop and driving range are open in the summer from 07:30 hrs to dusk and in the winter from 08:00 hrs to dusk. In the winter months it is possible that morning tee times may be delayed to late morning due to frost. Please be informed that winter greens will be in place on some holes.

 

For beginners or expert players the Four Seasons Resort Provence offers the exclusive experience of Biomecaswing. Using the latest in technology, together  with a team of knowledgeable, licenced therapists, Biomecaswing provides a personal diagnostic of guests’ physical capacities and your golf performance. Tennis:

 

Located adjacent to the golf driving range are two synthetic grass floodlit tennis courts, which are also available for night play. These are complimentary for use by guests and racquets and balls are provided. From May to September, the tennis programme is managed by the hotel's bilingual resident tennis professional. Guests benefit from other services such as a ball machine, restringing services (from May to September) and tennis shoe rental (available for a nominal fee). The courts can be used between 08:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs.

 

Also available are tennis lessons (for a fee) with a tennis professional amongst the staff. Four Seaons Provence’s resident tennis professional is available Tuesday to Sunday from May to September, from 08:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs. Private and group lessons can be arranged.

 

Spa:

 

Four Seasons Resort Provence features a peaceful 162m sq spa treatment villa, open daily from 10:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs and which is dedicated to achievement of personal well-being and the rejuvenation of body, mind and spirit. Spa services are available to guests 18 years and older. For couples wishing to enjoy the private luxury of experiencing their treatments together, the spa villa offers a self-contained couples' suite with its own changing area, ensuite facilities, two treatment couches, two relaxation beds and a private terrace.

 

The spa specialises in massages, body treatments, treatment packages and facial treatments. Some of the most popular treatments include the detox massage (a refining massage which employs a detoxifying body oil containing a blend of essential oils); the detox massage; the muscle relaxing massage and stress-relieving massage; the energising massage (invigorating essential oils of listea cubeba and eucalyptus, english peppermint and rosemary); the eye lift, body envelopments (blissful, holistic treatments which aim to beautify); marine algae and mud treatments; the skin hydrator body wrap, the energy booster and holistic total body balance treatments.

 

Swimming:

 

Guests may take advantage of the 40m outdoor infinity-edged swimming pool or relax on the extensive pool deck. Chaises longues and cabanas and offer privacy and shade. There is also a whirlpool and children’s play pool are close by.

 

The pool is open daily from mid-March to October 08:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs

 

Cycling:

 

Both mountain and road bike rentals and suggested routes are available through the Concièrge.

 

Hiking and canyoning:

 

The 13-mile Gorges du Verdon, a 90-minute drive from the Four Seaons Provence, is sometimes referred to as the Grand Canyon of France. This is truly spectacular setting for kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, white-water rafting and other activities on and around the dramatic limestone cliffs.

 

Beach and lake activities:

 

The Mediterranean Sea awaits you! The Concirège will be delighted to direct you to the best of Côte d’Azur's sandy beaches and organise catamaran excursions and rentals, jet ski rentals, waterskiing, scuba diving, snorkelling and windsurfing. Also available near the Resort, on Lac St. Cassien – kayaking, sailing and sunset sails. Contact the Concierge for details.

 

Skiing:

 

With 46 slopes and 75 miles of long downhill runs, Isola 2000 offers some of the finest skiing in the Southern Alps, a mere 76 miles from the Resort. Isola 2000 also boasts 160 snow canons and 25 chairlifts. Other activities include cross-country skiing and snowboarding in a new snow park.
