The hotel
The Hotel Savoy dates from 1893 and is located
in one of the most central positions in the Piazza della Repubblica
in the heart of historic Florence. The Savoy was acquired by Sir
Rocco Forte before it was opened in 2000. Olga Polizzi worked with
the Italian architect and interior designer Lorenzo Bellini to
restore the hotel and to create an all-pervasive atmosphere of
elegant sumptuousness. The 102 rooms include 14 suites, many of
which overlook the Piazza. All rooms magnificently combine supreme
