The Accommodation:
The Horizon ladge overlooks a lake. The large colonial verandah
is a perfect spot to sit and sip a G&T and look out over the
lake. Guests are accommodated in three double en-suite rooms in the
main building or in one of the three en-suite thatched rondavels,
each set slightly away from the main house. A plunge pool enables
you to cool off after a hot summer's day, whilst the 15 metre
heated pool, tennis court and large jungle gym offer a wonderful
diversion to children.
Food & Drink:
Good quality home-style cooking. Breakfast is a light meal
comprising of cereals, toast, yoghurt and fruit. Lunch normally
includes home made breads, salads and a pizza or quiche. Dinner can
be served in two sittings allowing the children to eat earlier. For
the adults, the carefully prepared 3-course meal is accompanied by
a selection of fine South African wines. All locally made drinks
are included.
Laundry:
Is included.
Children:
Are welcome provided they are accommpanied by an adult rider -
although they must be old enough to ride and be reasonably
competent riders. A number of special 'family weeks' are designated
throughout the year.
Non-Riders:
Are welcome and can choose from a whole array of activities such
as guided bush walks, game-drives and visits to the local rhino
museum (at extra cost).
