Diving With Whale Sharks - Djibouti
Introduction
Djibouti's dive sites are distinguished by unusual specimens,
Whale Sharks and Manta Rays spend almost the entire year in the
Ghoubet and off Arta Beach. The Ghoubet Pass is considered one of
the most beautiful dives in the region; prevailing currents make it
a favourite meeting place for Barracudas, sailfish and sharks and
encourage the development of soft coral. Off Tadjourrah's white
Sand Beach and around Musha and Maskali Islands, is an impressive
rift site, which drops more than 100 metres, where one can
encounter dolphins, turtles, Hammerheads, White, and Black-Tipped
Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Manta, and Eagle rays.
