Activities:
Various types of conservation work, including planting, surveys
and data collection, path clearance and facilities maintenance. You
may also get involved with community education and marketing
activities.
Working Hours:
Normally 7 hours a day,
with 8 days off per month.
Resources:
Long sleeve tops and
full-length trousers that are pale in colour and lightweight are a
good idea. Bring plenty of socks and a head-torch will also be very
useful. Wellington boots are essential but can be bought in Ecuador
if necessary.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is shared in cabins with raised floors. No
electricity or running water; linen provided. Basic washing and
toilet facilities.
Food:
Three meals per day prepared by on-site
cook under optimal conditions. Some cooking facilities shared.
Vegetarians welcome.
