wildlife, guided outdoor activities (snowshoeing,cross-country
skiing, nature hikes), dog sledding excursion (if available) trips
to local artisans' shops and studios in the Magdalen Islands, use
of expedition suits and warm boots for ice trips and all equipment
for outdoor activities, taxes and service
charges.

Travel to and from Quebec City, gratuities, alcoholic
beverages, personal items, airport taxes, and travel
insurance.
Physical
Requirements
Easy/Flexible
Trips to the ice require very little
physical exertion although the weather can be cold and ice terrain
can be slippery, rough and eneven. Other optional activities such
as hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are included for
those who desire.
Getting There & Getting
Home
Please arrive in time for a 7:00 PM welcome dinner on
Day 1. You are free to depart Quebec City any time on the final
day.
Climate
During the month of March, the
average temperatures in Halifax range from 22°F - 37°F. During the
winter and spring seasons, the days in the Magdalen Islands are
usually sunny, but could be wndy and cold, with temperatures
ranging from -10° to 40° Fahrenheit (temperatures can and often do
vary). Please be prepared for the coldest possible temperatures
during your trip.
Electrical Current
Electrical current in
Quebec City and the Magdalen Islands is the same as it is in the
U.S.: 110 volts, 60 cycles. If you are coming from a country other
than the U.S. and are bringing any personal appliances that you
wish to use during the trip, you may want to purchase an
adapter.
