Whale Watching Trip, Lofoten - Norway
Introduction
The killer whale or orca is instantly
recognisable due to its distinctive black and white body. Each year
during the winter months the whales return to the Tysfjord to feed
on migrating herring, thus providing one of the best places in the
world to view them.
Each whale watching trip lasts from 4 - 7
hours and includes a light meal (often fish soup!) served
onboard.
This trip includes four nights in Svolvær, capital of the
Lofoten Islands the strikingly beautiful archipelago to the west,
north of the Arctic Circle in Norway, and one whale watching safari
which begins with a lecture regarding the habits of the orca in
order for you to appreciate more fully the activities of the
orcas you are likely to meet!
