Introduction
Discover South Africa's enchanting Western Cape province
beginning with an exploration on foot of the 'Mother City' - Cape
Town. Travel along coastal roads, where the powerful Atlantic Ocean
meets the towering Table Mountain range. Explore the rugged beauty
of the Cape Point peninsula and meet the local resident penguin
population of Boulders Beach.
No visit to the Western Cape would be complete without indulging
yourself in the fine food and wines on offer in the region. You'll
be based in historic Stellenbosch, right in the heart of the
winelands, for 3 nights. You'll be taken on a full day wine and
cheese tasting tour to several award-winning wineries as well as
learn about the history of the area on a guided walking tour
through the alleyways of Stellenbosch. An evening of traditional
African cuisine and dance at Moyo @ Spier restaurant ensures an
unforgettable end to your experience.
Itinerary:
Day 1 (Fri) Arrive in Cape Town and transfer to
hotel.
Day 2 Guided morning walking tour of Cape Town
city. Afternoon at leisure for optional activities.
Day 3 Full-day trip to Cape Point Peninsula. Visit
historic Simon's Town and Boulders Beach.
Day 4 Travel to Stellenbosch. Afternoon walking
tour.
Day 5 Full day of wine and cheese tasting at the
wineries. Picnic lunch at Boschendal Wine Estate
(seasonal).
Day 6 Morning at leisure. Visit Spier Wine Estate
including cheetah and raptor experience. Traditional African dinner
at Moyo @ Spier restaurant.
Day 7 Scenic drive back to Cape Town where tour
ends on arrival (Thu).
